Diane Bullock Kain

Memorial services for Mrs. Diane Bullock Kain, 76, of Kilgore will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10am at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with inurnment following at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Diane passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Longview after a lengthy illness.

Diane was born on November 15, 1943 in San Francisco, California. She attended Kilgore College where she began her career in education with her associate degree. Diane was named Miss Leverette’s Chapel 1962 and also served as Kilgore Rangerette from 1962-1963. She then attended Stephen F. Austin University where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. She taught at Carlisle High School, and Lad and Lassie School, and substituted for both Kilgore and Longview Independent School District.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Jimmie Flatt Owens, Billy Gene Owens, and Bill Bullock.

Diane is survived by her husband Lawrence Kain of Kilgore; sons, Kerry Gene Martin of Kilgore and Kristopher Mitchell Kain of Jefferson; sister, Pamela Bullock Sanford of West Monroe, LA; niece, Amanda Wilkens of Monroe, LA; daughter in law, Mollye Moore of Jefferson; and a grandson, Jackson Kain of Jefferson.
