Services at the graveside for Darlene Breaux, 78, of Kilgore, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the Danville Cemetery with Bro. Houston O. Ellis, Jr. officiating. Her care has been entrusted to Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 7 in the evening. Ms. Breaux completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, June 3, 2021, in Longview.

Darlene was born of January 29, 1943, in Henderson to Houston and Eva Ellis. She graduated from New London High School. Darlene furthered her education and obtained a license in Vocational Nursing. During her career she worked for Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital and several long-term care facilities until her retirement. Darlene enjoyed going to Caddo Lake, brim fishing, flower gardening and cooking. Her family was the source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Woodrow ‘Gilly” Breaux, Jr (Claudette) of Kilgore; grandsons, Chris, Eddie, and Brandon Breaux; great-grandson, Tommy Breaux; brother, Houston O. Ellis Jr. (Sheila) of Killeen; sisters, Jodi Bruner (Don) of Kilgore, Barbara Davis of Kilgore. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.

Darlene was reunited with her parents, stepmother Glenelle Ellis; brothers Roy Ellis, Lynn Ellis; sister, Georgiann Williams and a son Edward Glynn Breaux.
