Dale Hale or also known as “Mom” to so many was a cherished and loved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister during her 76 years of life. She was born on December 5, 1946. In her final days she was reminded of how much she was loved, cared for and that she was the best “Mom” anyone could ever ask for. She peacefully went to heaven on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
Dale was born in the wonderful state of Alabama to Thurman Hayes & Willie Maude Hayes. She would later move to Texas & eventually called Kilgore her home, with her husband, Allen Hale.
Many knew Dale because she was a wonderful hairdresser for many years. She was also a bit of a social butterfly. No matter where she went, she never met a stranger & her love radiated like the sun.
Her hobbies included gardening outside, fishing, spending time with her family, decorating for the holidays & blowing bubbles with Brooks. If you really knew her, you knew her favorite hobby was going to Shreveport on a Friday night to sit down and play her penny slot machine for HOURS.
Dale was cheerfully greeted in heaven by her Father & Mother, two Brothers and the love of her life, Allen Hale.
Her memory will be kept alive, by her daughter Dannette Slack & husband Keith Slack of Conroe, Son Donald Reaves & wife Kimberlee Kaul-Reaves of Flint, her daughter by choice Sharon Wilson & her husband Corey Wilson of Kilgore, Granddaughter Megan Gattis & husband John Michael Gattis of Hawkins and the light of her eye, Great Grandson, Brooks Michael Gattis, three sisters, one brother and many nieces & nephews. As well as her beloved fur-babies Molly & Baby and extended family.
She was cherished by all that knew her and will be dearly missed.
We will be honoring her life by offering a viewing on Thursday, August 24th from 10am to 5pm. The family invites you to join them for a graveside service on Friday, August 25th at 10am at Danville Cemetery officiated by Pastor Scott Brown.
