Services for Cliff Rhodes, 91, of Kilgore will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Rev. Dana Dukes officiating. Burial will follow at Kilgore City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Rhodes passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Longview.
Cliff was born on October 6, 1930, in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Clifton L. Rhodes and Esther Hudson Rhodes. He graduated from Leverett’s Chapel High School and continued his education at local colleges where he studied business. During his career he worked in oil and energy sales and worked as a plant manager in building power plants and other large-scale projects. Cliff enjoyed wheeling and dealing so much, he didn’t retire until the age of 85. In his spare time, he loved traveling, watching classic westerns, and visiting with friends and family. Cliff was a very loving and caring father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather who will missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his son, Curt Rhodes; sister, Georgia Ledford; brother, Howard Rhodes and grandson, Dillon Wolford.
He is survived by his daughters, Vanessa Archambo and husband Jay of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Annette Dukes and husband Rory of Uncertain, Texas and Susan Lupfer and husband Scott of Celina, Texas; son, Larry Rhodes and wife Melissa of Gilmer; sister, Lynda Rhodes and husband Mert Bernabi of Dallas, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
