Chris Varin

Memorial service for Mr. Chris Varin, 38, of Kilgore will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel. Chris passed away at his home in Kilgore on Monday, February 14, 2022.

Chris was born on May 31, 1983, in Burlington, Vermont and grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School where he played on the football and baseball teams. After graduating from high school, Chris attended and graduated from Texas A & M Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. He enjoyed being a nurse and for the last 8 years worked as a dialysis nurse. Chris was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, who also enjoyed guns and shooting sports. He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter Claire.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Claire of Kilgore; parents, Rick and Lori Varin of Corpus Christi; fiancée, Angela Drake of Kilgore; sisters, Candice Parker (husband Chris Parker) of Kilgore, Kimberly Varin of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Cameron and Carson Parker; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and many friends.
