Brenda Tompkins

Brenda Tompkins finished her journey on earth and entered heaven on
August 18, 2021 after a short illness. There will be visitation at 10:00 am
followed at 11:00 by a celebration of her life on Saturday August 28, 2021
at Living Word Church, 1567 FM 1252 E. Kilgore Texas. Interment will be at
Danville Cemetery.
Brenda was born in Ada, Oklahoma on September 27, 1948
to Joe and Margie Brumley. She was a homemaker and loved
entertaining her family and friends on holidays ,especially Christmas
She is survived by her husband of 33 years Tommy Tompkins,
Three sons Shawn Rabon and wife Ruth of Newark England,
Tommy Tompkins Jr and wife Lindsey of Mobile, Alabama and Adam
Tompkins of Longview Texas, Two daughters
Rebecca Dillard and husband Scott of Hallsville Texas and
Amanda Tompkins of Longview, Texas, Six grandsons, Joseph¶
and Joel Rabon, Cameron Postins, Levi McCarty, Jaden and
Joshua Leonard, Five granddaughters, Alice Rabon, Hanna and
Alyssa Postins, and Braelyn and Bella Tompkins, and Sister in law Beth
Brumley of Carthage Texas, numerous nieces and nephews
and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Margie
Brumley and brothers Larry and Ron Brumley.
Brenda was known for her love for Jesus, her infectious smile,
her bubbly personality, and her “redeemed eggs” She loved being
a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She fought the good
fight, and finished her race well, but will be missed by all those who
knew and loved her.
