Bobby Dotson

Bobby Dotson, 73, of Kilgore completed his earthly journey on Friday, November 26, 2021, in Longview. A celebration of life for Bobby will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the Dotson family home.

Bobby was born on April 28, 1948, to Bea Alley and A.A. Dotson in Haskell, Texas. He spent his youth with his six siblings, brothers, Larry, Jerry, W.A., James, Billy, and sister Shirley. After receiving his GED from high school, Mr. Dotson join the U.S. Army and served his county for three years. After his years of service, Bobby became a truck driver for many years. He married the love of his life Weedy Spouse on March 7, 1997, and they shared 24 wonderful years of marriage together. Bobby was a loving father to five children, two sons and three daughters. He also raised his two grandsons Austin and Justin. He was a devoted Christian, and loved animals, westerns, and spending time with his grandchildren. Bobby also made the best stew around! He was a joy to be around and will greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Weedy Dotson, son Robert Dotson and his two children, daughters, Tonja, Tina, Tammy, sister, Shirley, brother, James, grandchildren, Austin, Justin, Breanna, Jerry and wife Adina, Tara, Chance, Amber, and Skyler, great-grandchildren, Rhea, Brittnie, Christian, Brennon, Addie, Jaedyn, Bruce, Lillian, and Tierney, great-great-grandchild, Trachell, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving friends and family members.

Bobby was reunited with his parents, brothers, Larry, Jerry, W.A. and Billy, and his son Doug.
