Betty Jo Jeter

Betty Jeter, 87, of Kilgore, completed her earthly journey on Monday, February 6, 2023, at her residence in Kilgore. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, with Rev. Farrell Alexander officiating. Interment will follow Danville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00.

Betty was born on July 13, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas to the late Joe Buck Holcombe and Mildred Chambers. Betty was a member of Eastview Baptist Church since 1953 and was a member of the Garden Club. Betty worked for American Supply company for many years, later retiring in 1995. She enjoyed gardening and her family was the source of her strength. Any time spent with them, was when she was happiest.

Betty was reunited with her parents and husband, Paul Edward Jeter, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her uncle, Ed Chambers of Luling, Texas, stepson, Paul Jeter of Kilgore, stepdaughter, Jennifer Jeter of Kilgore; cousin, Joyce Magee of Seguin, Texas, special friend and caregiver, Betty McQueen of Kilgore and other loving family members.
