Barbara Lucille Clevenger Thompson, 80, of Kilgore completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Barbara was born on August 1, 1941, in Pienyiss, Mississippi, to Hazel Lucille Borne and Ottis Thompson. She married the love of her life Donald Clevenger and had five children who were the light of her life. Barbara was a devoted mother, wife, and caregiver for her family. She was also a dedicated Christian and enjoyed watching her son Larry’s racing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with her loving family. She will be greatly missed by all who has the pleasure of knowing her.

Barbara is survived by her son, Larry Don Clevenger of Greenwood, LA, daughter, Brenda Clevenger of Longview, Becky Christie of Mansfield, LA, son, Michael Lee Clevenger of Kilgore, brother, Ralph Franklin Thompson of Takoma, WA, sister, Vickie Gilliams, of Marshall, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving friends, and family members.

She was reunited with her parents, loving husband Donald Clevenger, daughters, Glenda Garner, Linda Gail Clevenger Derks, and brothers, William Wade Thompson, and Charles Martin.
