Services at the graveside for Banona Fay Watson, 92, of Kilgore, will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2 pm in the Danville Cemetery with Rev. Earl W. “Buddy” Duggins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 until 7. Mrs. Watson completed her earthly journey on Thursday, November 20, 2019, in Jefferson.
Banona was born on April 20, 1927, in Spiro, OK, to Sam and Mae McKinney. Banona loved to work outdoors, planting flowers, just tinkering around the yard. At 70 years old she could still weed eat “circles’ around anyone without stopping. She even received a new weed eater for her 80th birthday and as thrilled with it. She loved to laugh, tell stories. For more than 55 years she was a member of the Danville Community in Kilgore. Banona was a member of Forest Home Baptist Church where to taught Sunday School for many years and enjoyed attending Joymakers. She loved the Lord, read and obeyed His word. Her Bible was well used and has many notes and writings. Her family was the source of her strength and she loved being a housewife and mother. Her time with family brought her the most joy and happiness
Left to cherish Banona’s memory are her daughter; Carla Hoss and her husband Mickey; sons, Dale Watson and Doyle Watson. Several grand and great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.
Banona was preceded in death by her parents, husband E. H. “Skeet” Watson, twin sister Wynona Gosage, sister Sue Jones, brothers Durrel McKinney, Cot McKinney, Bud McKinney, children Tim Watson and Karen Watson.
