Ashley Michelle Vail

September 12, 1982 — September 8, 2020

Cremation services for Ashley Vail, 37 of Longview are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Vail passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Kilgore.

She loved the universe and all the marvels of its existence. She loved animals, except for birds. Ashley had a soft spot for dogs, and she adored children and was a phenomenal mother to our children and her own. Ashley loved to dance, and she did not care about the talent of dancing, but rather the "feel" of the music. She had a special place in her life for the night. She loved to hear nature make its music while she looked out toward the moon. Ashley was exceptional about "reading" people. She was quick to avoid those she felt were not true. She gave me the best 2 years and 5 months of my life. We lived to spend our waking minutes together. We did not care if it was on the couch or headed someplace, as long as we were together. In all that time we only had one argument and we made it a strong practice to love one another and to always make sure that our person came first. She was my entire life. My entire reason to be successful. I loved making her happy. Her smile, her laughter, her beautiful glowing green eyes.... that made everything worth it. She was my love and my life. She was the absolute best human being I ever met. She never held ill will toward other people. Ashley felt it best to let the world work out the justice. She was not materialistic and felt the best things in life could be found growing wild on their own. There is no way we cannot miss her. Her effect on those close to her will be something they feel for life. She will live on in hearts and memories and was extremely loved and she was and remains, balanced and was amazing.

Ashley is survived by her husband Sam Vail of Longview; daughters, Mary Camfield and Emily Camfield of Bridge City, Texas; son, Conner Camfield of Bridge City, Texas; sister, Kristi Hicks of Jefferson; mother, Janice Pilgrim of Pittsburg, Texas and grandmother, Mary Pilgrim of Atlanta.
