Virginia Anne Garner

Funeral service for Anne Garner, 86, of Liberty City, will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Danville Cemetery. Anne passed away on August 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was born on July 8, 1934 in Whitewright, Texas to the late James Roy Waldrum and the late Anna Waldrum. She married Albert L. Garner on May 28, 1955 in Jacksboro, Texas. She worked as a secretary for the Kilgore College Deans office for several years. She was a member of the Chandler Street Church of Christ in Kilgore.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Waldrum Jones; brother, Roy Waldrum Jr., and a nephew, Bill Jones.

Survivors include her husband Albert L. Garner of Liberty City, daughter; Caryn Couch and husband Travis of Liberty City, son; Alan L. Garner and wife Debbie of Liberty City, 5 grandchildren; Jennifer Sparks and husband Cal of Liberty City, Nicole Nicholson and husband Eddy of Liberty City, Cayce Rutledge and husband John of Richardson, Amy Emge and husband Ben of Tyler and Alex Garner and wife Morgan of Tyler, 9 great grandchildren, two nephews; J.L. Jones and Raul Alvarado both of San Antonio, three nieces; Marca L. Davis of Fort Worth, Lola Ann Waldrum and Laurel Piontek both of Richardson and three sisters in law, Joyce G. Wendt of Bay City, Sue Garner of Abilene, and Aileen Garner of Carrolton.

Family visitation will be held on Thursday August 27, 2020 at 10am prior to the service.
