Angel Velasco Figueroa

Mass of the Christian Burial for Angel Velasco Figueroa, 76 of Kilgore will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Reverend John Henao, STL officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Cemetery. Mr. Velasco passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 in Longview.

Angel was born June 7, 1942 in Tayahua, Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Dionicio Velasco Ortega and Amanda Figueroa. He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Kilgore and was a loving and caring husband, father, son, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolina Velasco of Kilgore; daughter, Amanda Serrano and husband Javier of Duarte, CA; sons, Angel Velasco and wife Nora of Duarte, CA, Dionicio Velasco and wife Graciella of Kilgore and Miguel Velasco of Kilgore; sister, Carmen Velasco of Mexico; brothers, Fernando Velasco of Mexico and Jose Velasco of California; grandchildren, Leonora Velasco, Angel Velasco, Brenda Velasco, Janet Serrano, Karina Serrano, Patricia Serrano all of Duarte, CA, Carmen Velasco, Vanessa Velasco, Alexa Velasco, Leonardo Velasco and Fernanda Velasco all of Kilgore and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m., Tuesday April 2, 2019 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore. The family will receive friends immediately following the Rosary from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
