Our heart and prayers go out to Lisa and the extended Reed and Bragg family. We remember how friendly Matt was to us and our children when we moved into the neighborhood. Matt always had that big smile. He will be missed by all. God Bless to all.

My prayers will be with Matt's family during these hard times. I have been good friends with his brother Chris over the years and knew Matt well. He was a good guy and we will miss him dearly.

Matt was a classmate of mine since the early years at Saigling Elementary. Although I did not know him all too well, I do know that he was a very kind-hearted individual who exhibited great perseverance. My most sincere condolences to Matt's family and friends.

David, I know that words fail to satisfy what you must be feeling, but take heart that in Jesus Christ there is no death. He came to earth so that we might have hope even in the hardest times and He would carry us through them. May your faith be strong and comforting at this time. God bless you and your family.

Matt Reed was one of the most versatile and best football players to ever play for the Plano Wildcats. I was a long-time Plano fan but a coaching newcomer next door at Haggard when Matt came over to the senior high from Vines. He caught my eye early on, not only as a receiver and defensive back but also because of his ability to throw the football around in pre-practice. So I wasn't surprised to learn that he was an excellent baseball pitcher. I kept encouraging Coach Brence to try him at quarterback and by his senior year when Matt was an all-district defensive back and clutch receiver, he had likewise become a valuable backup quarterback. More importantly, I made a point of getting to know Matt as a person, and he quickly became one of my all-time favorite Wildcats. He was very bright and personable and a team leader who could have had a great career as a coach. In fact, after his senior year, he coached the Plano summer team that reached the semifinals of the state 7-on-7 football tournament in College Station. Matt Reed was the kind of young man every father and grandfather wants his sons and grandsons to become, and his tragic passing is being deeply mourned by the Plano Wildcat community and all of us who were so blessed to have had him in our lives as he was growing up.
