Matthew Brandon Reed Guestbook

Joseph F. Greenberg

Matt always lived life to the fullest. He was always positive, even when things were going tough. Playing football and developing a friendship with him was truly and honor and a privilege, and the world is undoubtedly a lesser place without him. He will be greatly missed by his friends, but we can be sure his memory will never be forgotten.

Went spent a lot of time in our four years at AC talking about "one heartbeat." In reality there really was just one heartbeat: Matt's. He was the heart of the team. He was our leader, and our friend, and I don't have the words to express how much he will be missed.

Back in 1993-94 at Saigling Elementary, I had the pleasure of teaching Matt American History. Looking back, I can honestly say that there was never any doubt that Matt Reed was going to grow up to be an exceptional young man. He was always eager to learn and seemed to enjoy school and his friends so much. Now as I read some of the notes in the guestbook, I know that I was right...he was exceptional! Teaching all of you boys made an indelible memory in my mind of the wonderful Bragg-Reed family. Chris, Zac, and Cody - I know that you were all very close and your pain is overwhelming. Lean on each other and relive those precious memories to help you get through this sad time. My prayers and thoughts are with each and every one of you. My deepest sympathy, Elaine Howell

Words seem so inadequate but know that prayers are being offered to soothe the pain. We are Jake's parents/family and know that we grieve with him and your family. Matt was extremely special to our family. He had a special relationship with each of my kids. His friendship with Jake was a demonstration of what sincere friendship encompasses. He touched our family deeply with his care and concern. We talked about how much we will miss his smile....it was almost his trademark. As you walk through the valley of the coming days, trust that God will lead you to the mountaintop. Matt didn't stay in any valley very long, he was always in quest of the next mountaintop. I pray we all learn from his example. Our prayers are with you.

My first love, my high school sweetheart, the person I grew up with, the sweetest heart I ever knew---Matt was all of these things and SO much more. Loved by all who had ever met him and the best friend you could ask for. Lisa and the Bragg and Reed Family, you are in my prayers. It was so amazing knowing all of you so well over the years when I dated Matt, and I will most certainly keep in touch. You are all in my heart. It is such a shock and a shame to lose Matt, and I am deeply saddened and heartbroken. Just know he is in a better place now and will be waiting and anxious to greet us one day. Please let me know if you need anything, and I am here for you always. I love you all, and Matt will be missed more than anything and remembered forever. We love you more than you know Matt.

It's hard to believe Matt is no longer with us. Atleast we all know that he is in a better place right now. The first time I met Matt in 6th grade i could tell right off the bat that he was a genuine down to earth guy. We'll miss you buddy.

Dear Andy, Zac, and family, We are terribly shocked, and sad for all of you. Surely there is no worse grief than to suffer the loss of a loved one so young. We hope, in the weeks and years to come, cherished memories of Matt in better times will bring you comfort. Our thoughts are with you.
