Anne Marshall Guestbook

Elaine Hart (Lanie)

There's not much more I could say about our dear friend Anne that has already been posted here by folks to whom she loved dearly. I miss her. She was a consistent friend and loving adopted sister. The memories of traveling with Anne to Nags Head for Christmas one year will always be with me, Rhonda and Marji. I remember Anne and I walking out to the beach together. We had fun on that trip and Anneís presence served a purpose. She was able to give good solid advice to a friend of Marjiís that met us there. Anne was meant to be there with us for more than the celebration of Christmas. Anne loved Christmas. She had a rule that we could not open presents until THE day. She wouldnít let us get around that. It was important that we wake up and feel the spirit of the season like we did when we were children. I loved the time Marji and I got to spend with her during our adventure at Cedar Creek Lake. She was so supportive in our life decisions. She helped to clarify and simplify some of those decisions. I love the fact that we had standing dinner dates with her almost every weekend until she was too sick. Anne always made us feel like we were the most important people in the world to her. All of her friends felt that way. Anne was so interested in life. She was so loyal and always had the best things to say about everyone. I will miss movie weekends with Anne. We had the same taste in movies. She liked intriguing thrillerís that were intense but not gory. I will miss playing Yahoo dominoes with Anne. I never won against her, but she kept playing the game with me. Itís been hard to see Anne suffer the past year + with this cancer. I so hoped that she would beat it. I know she is happy now and without the monster (thatís what she called it). Iím excited about the new friendships I have made because of Anneís illness. People who Iíve met that visited her and rallied around her during this sad time. Anne is now a real angel, and I miss her...

I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person as Anne. She was one of my oldest friends since kindergarten. I will always remember her wonderful laugh, true friend loyalty and those pigtails. We are all blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all her family and friends at this time.

I miss Anne, already. It has only been a week. I miss her smile, laughter, and conversation. Some of the best times in my life were spent with Anne. It was an honor to know her.

I am so sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She was a good friend and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was part of "our small group" at East Texas State University that had a special bond. We had alot of fun during our college days and Anne was a big part of this. She was always so positive and cheerful, no matter what the situation......and I admired her for this. Your family is in my prayers during this time of grief.

Dearest Anne, I can hardly believe that you are gone. I didn't meet you until college but I think we shared many experiences that we both cherished. I will always remember your contagious laugh and the schemes that we could come up with. I am sorry that we could not get together the past many years. I am glad that your friends were with you. I wish that I had known that your health was getting worse. I know that the angels are welcoming you, but all your friends that are left here will miss you. Sandi Spurlin Tervonen

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. I know Anne is no longer suffering and in a better place. She will be missed by many. I worked w/Anne and ColorTyme in Athens for 11 years. She was my supervisor for many and always a friend and loads of fun to be with.
