While teaching at Longview High School, she met Robert Dabney Lipscomb of Dallas representing the Mark Lemmon Architectural Firm, which was building a new high school on Whaley Street.  They married in 1933 and made their home in Kilgore Texas, where Dabney Lipscomb died in 1954.  In 1957 she married Hollis Kinsey, a Pepsi Cola bottler, and moved to his home in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Throughout her life, her warm heart, her generosity, and her many acts of kindness to others have made her beloved by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Kinsey; two brothers, John Solon King and Edward B. King; and sister-in-law, Valla D.
