Bonnie Land Heath Guestbook

I moved to Lake Cherokee in 1974. I'll never forget the first day I walked into our super bus stop, Coker's Grocery. There I met Chad, Penney, and Alan Heath. We got to know each other well on our hour-long bus rides to and from school every day, and soon were fast friends. That Christmas, I got a motorcycle. I rode that thing over to their house all the time. See, there was a beautiful girl there. And being a 14 year old ladies' man, I was smitten. Well, I got over that in a while because I realized that if I was going to get anywhere with Penney, I would have to go through her brothers, and Harold Heath, AND Ms. Bonnie. Plus, they treated me like family. I learned that these were people of strong character, morals, and values. Harold and Bonnie were very wise and knew right from wrong. And they would readily share that information with all who crossed their path, including me. I lived out there for 3 years. It seems like 10, because time moved much slower then. Ms. Bonnie fed me and treated me like a son, and I will never forget it. Mom and I moved to Kilgore after that and my life went a bit sideways for awhile. I didn't visit out at the Heath's any more, because I knew they loved me, and I knew they would have some strong words for me because of the way I was living. There was no doubt they knew. Today, I think Harold and Bonnie would be proud of me, and that is very important to me. That's what most of us live for; making your parents proud. I love this family, and I'm thankful for all they did to help me.

We were so sorry to learn of the passing of "Miss Bonnie". Even with us being out of state, our thoughts and prayers are still with the Heath family. May God bring comfort unto each of you, as well as your memories of such a wonderful mother, and grandmother, and great grandmother.

Yesterday my sweet mama or as most know her, Miss Bonnie, passed. Amazing, giving wife and mother to many more than her own. Wanted family and friends to know information regarding services.

I never met Ms Heath, but her son, Chad, spoke highly her in which I felt that I knew her personally. I will keep the family in prayer and if there is anything that you all need, please do not hesitate to ask. God bless you all.
